Light diffuseness, light vector and panoramic illuminance, together with spatial brightness assessment methods, offer complementary ways to understand lighting quality. They help describe how light is distributed, how it travels and reflects from surfaces, and how the resulting environment is perceived.
HDR panoramic imaging and photometric calibration provide a pathway to measuring spatial luminance distributions. AI-based image reconstruction, spectral reconstruction and spatial modeling offer further research and application opportunities for more accessible lighting assessment.
